Deputy Governor of Gizak Oblast of Uzbekistan and his delegation visited Neptune Logistics Group's Shenzhen Headquarters
On 24th January, Nurmatov, Deputy Governor of Gizak Oblast of Uzbekistan, and his delegation visited the Shenzhen headquarters of Neptune Logistics Group.
Entrusted by Bonnie Zhu, Chairman and General Manager of Neptune Logistics Group, Monica Ye, Director and Senior Director of Operations, Chency Shi, Director of the Group's Key Account Centre, and Misha Cai, Head of the Group's Project Logistics Department, together with the relevant team leaders, warmly received the delegation.
At the meeting, Monica Ye firstly welcomed Deputy Governor Nurmatov's visit, briefly introduced the Group's main business segments and the development situation in recent years, and said that Neptune Logistics Group intends to strengthen the infrastructure construction in Ukraine, and hoped that the U.S. side would provide friendly assistance in this regard.
During the friendly exchanges, the two sides exchanged views on the "soft connection" of commodity logistics and the "hard connection" of transport infrastructure between the two countries. The Ukrainian delegation also warmly invited Neptune Logistics Group to visit Jizak State for field investigation and discussion.
Over the years, relying on the construction of the China-Central Asia transport corridor, we have provided logistics services for many Chinese-funded enterprises in Uzbekistan, and have continued to contribute to the stability of the supply chain between China and Uzbekistan.
Driven by the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, China and Uzbekistan have been continuously upgrading the quality of economic and trade co-operation, and China's cumulative investment in Uzbekistan from 2017 to 2022 will exceed US$10 billion.
At present, China has become Uzbekistan's major trade and investment partner and the second largest source of investment in Uzbekistan, with more than 1,800 Chinese enterprises in Uzbekistan. Enterprises of the two countries have carried out extensive cooperation in the fields of agriculture, electric power, water conservancy, coal, building materials, textile, telecommunication, medical care, trade, new energy and automobile manufacturing, and are constantly achieving new results.
On the afternoon of 24 January, President Xi Jinping held talks at the Great Hall of the People with President Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, who came to China for a state visit. The two heads of state announced that China and Uzbekistan have decided to develop an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era and promote the building of a China-Uzbekistan community of destiny from a higher starting point.
As the initiative of "One Belt, One Road" continues to progress, China and Uzbekistan are deepening their cooperation in many fields, and economic and trade cooperation has reached a new level.
