The 130th Canton Fair concluded online and offline on Oct 19. It is reported that a total of 378,000 buyers from 228 countries and regions registered online to attend the Canton Fair. The number of buyers has steadily increased, and the sources of origin have set a new record, expanding the level of diversity and globalization of the Canton Fair.



Chinese Premier Li Keqiang delivers a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the 130th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) and pearl River International Trade Forum on Oct. 14, highlighting the importance of the event.



Li said the country will deepen foreign economic and trade cooperation based on industrial and market advantages. We will maintain continuity and stability in our foreign trade policies and continue to increase imports of quality products and services. We will accelerate the innovation-driven development of foreign trade. By the end of the year, we will establish a number of comprehensive pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce, covering Guangdong and other parts of the province. We will accelerate the development of new forms of business such as overseas warehouses, and promote the development of smart overseas logistics platforms. We will strengthen international cooperation on trade digitization and build a number of global trade digitization pilot zones.

We will actively participate in improving international economic and trade rules and promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation. China to comply with the wto principles of regional free trade arrangements, are open and love it, will work with relevant parties to promote regional comprehensive economic partnership agreements (RCEP) into effect as soon as possible, actively promote the comprehensive progress with the trans-pacific partnership agreement (CPTPP) process, signing more high-standard free trade agreement, Strengthen cooperation in emerging areas such as global digital and green governance.
